Home – Top (Slider)
The image size for the slider in the Home Top widget area is 1074 x [any height] px. First install the Soliloquy Lite plugin (got to Plugins >> Add New and search for “Responsive WordPress Slider – Soliloquy Lite”).
Once installed, you’ll see a new tab called “Soliloquy” in the sidebar within your WordPress admin area. Click Soliloquy >> Add New to add a new slider. Click “config” and modify your settings as outlined below:
(You can adjust the duration and speed if you want.) Upload your images. Once your slider is ready, save it and copy and paste the shortcode (will looking something like [soliloquy id=”432″]) into a Text widget (on the Appearance >> Widgets page) under the Home – Top widget area.
Home – Left, Center, and Right (Featured Pages)
This space allows for you to feature pages.
- First, make sure you have Featured Images set for each page you want featured. (The full size of the featured page image is 356 x 238 px but if you use an image larger than that for your featured image, it will be scaled down.)
- Go to Appearance >> Widgets and drag and drop a new Genesis – Featured Page into either the Home – Left, Home – Center, or Home – Right widget area.
- Select the page you want to feature. Click the box to show a featured image, selecting the Home – Featured Page image size from the dropdown box. Also click the box to show a page title. Your Settings will look like this:
- Repeat for the other two areas.
Home – Featured (Genesis eNews Extended – Subscribe Form)
