Add A Favicon

Good news, folks! It doesn’t get any easier than this! Follow these super easy steps to add a custom favicon to your WordPress site. These instructions will work if you’re using any Dinosaur Stew theme, and they should work for most other WordPress themes, too.

Step 1:

In your WordPress admin area, go to Appearance >> Customize, then click on “Site Identity“.

Step 2:

Here you can change the site title, tagline, and site icon. The site icon will be shrunk down and used as a favicon. The icon that you upload should be a minimum of 512px x 512px. Upload your icon of choice and save!

* Please note that it may take a few refreshes for your new favicon to appear for you in your browser bar. If it’s still not showing up after a couple times of hitting that refresh button, you may need to clear your cache, both within your browser or within WordPress if you have a cacheing plugin installed.
